Pam Shield – Exhibitor Profile

In 1995 my spiritual journey began.  

I had separated from my husband of 19 years. With two teenage children to take care of and provide for I found myself at one of life’s crossroads. At times like this, many people seek guidence. An opportunity to have a reading was to change part of my life.

I was told “you have very strong healing power”. From that moment on all I wanted to do was use my healing ability to help people. The only trouble was, I wasn’t given any guidance on what to do next or how to develop it! I was just left to find my own way.

I started to develop as a natural healer. I then became aware of Reiki and progressed through different levels to become a Reiki Master/Teacher. I celebrated my 19th anniversary as a Reiki Master in March 2017. I am also a practitioner for Hopi Earcandles and about to train for Indian Head Massage.

A number of years ago I also developed an interest in Astrology. I had a personal reading with Phil Bowler at the Lincoln mind, body, spirit show which just blew me away. It was amazing how accurate he was about my personality. 

My birthday is in the middle of August so you would think I’d be a typical Leo but I never felt that I was. Yes, I like the luxury and quality that Leo’s enjoy but I never liked to be centre stage and couldn’t understand why. That was until my reading with Phil. My birth chart showed very clearly why and so many other pieces of my personality fell into place.

A few workshops with Phil plus a year’s coursework with the British Astrological and Psychic Society (BAPS) followed. Although I didn’t take the course any further (and I’ve forgotten more than I can remember!), astrology is still of interest to me and plays a part in the readings that I do.

In February 2015 I felt a strong need to develop my mediumship ability and studied at theArthur Findlay College, Stansted (“the world’s foremost college for the advancement of spiritualism and psychic science”), along with Simon Goodfellow’s courses for psychometry and Tarot. I have had the privilege of being tutored by some very special people and I will always be thankful for their knowledge and guidance.

I felt I wanted to develop my understanding of the Tarot further and was fortunate (although that word sounds completely insignificant for the gratitude I have) to meet someone who has studied Tarot for over 40 years and who, amazingly, agreed to be my mentor. Wow, I cannot put into words how blessed and grateful I feel for the opportunity to continue to learn from someone with such a depth of knowledge. 

I love giving readings and it never fails to amaze me how accurate the cards are each and every time. They are always so relevant. 

My readings are all about YOU and where you are in your life. 

As for past, present and future, the past has gone and we can do nothing about that apart from hopefully learn from it where necessary. 

My readings are about the here and now. The only time something from the past comes in is if it is recent and relevant in getting you to where you are now or if it is something you haven’t dealt with that is still affecting your current situation.

The future? It is how we deal with the here and now that creates our future, so your future is up to you and how you choose to develop it.

I have been working on my own spiritual and personal development for over 20 years and this will continue to be a life-long commitment.
