Terms and Conditions
Foundational Principles.
When Liz and I wrote about the foundational principles of the LizianEvents, the central focus was on the long-term success of the events and shows. Over the past decade, we have made difficult and often disliked choices that have benefited the majority of exhibitors, not the minority. And this has proven a sound decision. We also choose to focus on a small number of significant events rather than numerous small shows. This means our business choices are different from those of a smaller show organisation. The need is for clear and well-defined terms and conditions. It is this difference that makes the difference!
Bookings:
Bookings can be made via email. The booking is not confirmed until a deposit is received.
A deposit is required to secure a table, amounting to 25% of the table fee.
In principle, a contract is established once a booking is confirmed. Full payment must be made four weeks before the event.
Invoices received are evidence of agreement to the contract and terms and conditions.
LizianEvents reserves the right to cancel stall bookings without reason.
Cancellations:
Cancellations must be made four weeks before the booked event; if a pitch or stall is cancelled within the four-week window, the stall must be paid for in full.
Cancellations must be made via email. NO EXCEPTIONS. A phone call will not cancel the booking. This ensures there is NO misunderstanding about when the booking was cancelled.
Table Information:
Table sizes vary. We will strive to provide tables from 4 to 6 feet or 1.25 to 2 metres long, with proportional widths.
We provide sufficient table space. Tables should not be moved from their original positions set by LizianEvents.
Table positioning and allocation are firm. We do not believe that there are ‘beneficial’ table positions.
Stallholders must supply table covers that are clean and uniform. The cover should fully cover the front of the stalls.
The rear of the stall must be neat. Empty boxes or packaging should be placed under the stall or returned to the stallholder’s vehicle.
Electrical connections are arranged accordingly. The stallholder must tick the appropriate box on the booking form. Some of our venues charge for electrical hook-up. We pass the fee onto the stallholder; we do not add anything to the fee charged by the venue.
Electrical equipment must be PAT tested.
Lights must be LED.
Stallholders must provide extension leads.
Unauthorised connection to a paid electrical supply will lead to the loss of future bookings.
No loose wiring is allowed behind the stalls; all wiring must be secured with tape. We can suggest an excellent low-adhesive tape for this purpose. The use of high-adhesion silver ‘Gaffer Tape’ is not permitted.
Setting Up:
The table must be ready for service at least 15 minutes before the doors open. Late arrivals who cannot set up within the time limit may forfeit their stall.
Stripping Down:
Stallholders cannot take down their stall until the event is finished. There are no exceptions to this firm rule.
Children:
For safety reasons, children are not allowed to be behind the stalls.
Animals:
For safety reasons, animals are not allowed behind the stalls.
Photography:
LizianEvents owns all copyrights to electronic images and videos taken within the event.
Disputes:
LizianEvents does not arbitrate between stallholder disputes.
LizianEvents’ decisions are final:
We reserve the right to cancel individual bookings without giving a reason.
We have overall control of booking and stand allocation.
Disagreements are not considered; our decisions are final.
We can cancel bookings within one day of an event. In this instance, we will refund stand fees and deposits on the same day.
