Patrick (Pat) Mills

As many of you may know, our friend Pat Mills has passed on to his eternal rest. 

Pat was a stalwart of Mel-Jay’s jewellery and crystal stand at many Well-Being Shows. I cannot remember a day when he stood at any event and did not smile for everyone. Indeed, I cannot remember Pat having a bad word for anyone. He was one of the rare and wonderful people who followed his spiritual beliefs to the letter.

I first met Pat at an event at the Dome in Doncaster when he was working as a therapist. I clearly remember him receiving excellent reviews and repeat clients. Very few people were aware of his healing abilities and in-depth knowledge in this field. Unfortunately, he began to suffer from a painful hip that eventually required replacement surgery. This issue forced him to make the difficult decision to stop working as a therapist at events. I believe he continued to pursue his interest in alternative therapies for some time afterwards.

After that, Pat continued to care for his mum and began working with Mel Jones, collaborating to make the Mel-Jay business successful. Pat became a member of Mel and Mike’s family, and following his mother’s passing, this became a significant aspect of his life.

I understand how much Mel thought of and cared for Pat. We not only give thanks for knowing and having Pat as a wonderful friend, but we also send love and prayers to Mel during this time.

There is no doubt that hundreds of visitors will attend the numerous shows and events across the country and will miss Pat’s smiling face and cheeky comments, which were such a big part of his character. Pat Mills was a wonderful and kind man who will continue to be remembered for many years to come. I know for sure that all who see Mel’s stand will recognise that he stands by her side; his memory and presence will never fade.
