Milla’s Drumming Sessions

Why have we introduced Milla at the beginning and end of every Well Being Show? The answer is simple! Our focus is on bringing well-being to every visitor. We know that the energising drumming session will unite every visitor and community member.

Drumming is effective at the start of a well-being show because it immediately promotes stress relief and mindfulness by requiring focus on the rhythm, which can lead to a sense of calm and presence. It also creates an engaging and uplifting atmosphere, helping viewers feel revitalised and centred before the rest of the show begins.

Stress and anxiety relief
Outlet for tension: The physical act of drumming provides an outlet for pent-up tension, helping to soothe the mind and reduce stress levels. Drumming can induce a natural high by increasing alpha brain waves, which are linked to feelings of calm and relaxation. Perfect for the beginning of the show!

Mindfulness and concentration
Encourages presence: Drumming requires focus on rhythmic patterns, helping to calm the mind and divert attention from daily worries. It fosters a state of flow: The act of playing can lead to a state of “flow,” where you become deeply absorbed in the activity, creating a sense of presence and unburdening.

Engagement and upliftment
Sense of achievement: Learning to follow a rhythm and produce sound can bring a sense of accomplishment and confidence.
Creates community: Group drumming fosters a feeling of connection and togetherness without words, which can be powerful for audiences to experience collectively.
Boosts positive feelings: Drumming is often described as enjoyable and uplifting, helping set a positive, energetic tone for a show.

The reasons to start a drumming session at the beginning of a Well-Being Show are very compelling. Naturally, this addition will become a significant attraction for visitors. As you all know, everyone attending the Well-Being Shows is aware that we have fantastic venues with spacious outdoor areas. This aspect of the Well-Being Show brand is worth exploring further.

Please arrive a little earlier if you’d like to join the drumming session, which runs from 10:15 to 10:45. Be part of something that will truly brighten your day! All drums are provided and there are no charges for the session. I’ll end with a quote from a Mansfield visitor, “Milla’s drumming session alone was worth the cost of entry!” Thanks for the comment, Maureen. I have to agree.
