I’m looking forward to this great event. I’m sure to meet some great people and report back to readers here on LEN with articles about Nottingham’s brilliant holistic community. We have to thank Louise Hallum for putting this networking event together and I have copied an article about her at the end of this page.

Readers and Community Members know it is the object of LizianEvents organisation to connect people and their skills. Community profiles, articles about peoples work and thoughts are central to our future. We will do everything possible to promote like-minded people. This is a networking event if your business provides holistic wellbeing services looking after the physical, emotional or spiritual wellbeing of individuals or groups. You could be a counsellor, coach, reiki practitioner, physiotherapist, yoga teacher, nutritionist. All genres may not be listed however, you’ll get the idea! 

The purpose of the event is to meet like-minded people, make connections and collaborations. To share good practise and let’s face it, sometimes it can be isolating if you work on your own so a natter over a cuppa as well!”

Synergy NG9 is a great new initiative to support individuals and groups who have an interest in wellbeing and creative ventures. There is some parking available at the venue and also on-street parking nearby.

My story and how I never looked back – Louise

Would you like to be better at handling pressure, prioritising and not feeling overwhelmed when you have more on than you can manage? 

Have you ever made an excuse not to do something because you think you’re not good enough, spend your time thinking you’re not doing a good a job at anything you do, feeling anxious about routine things that never used to? Not being able to switch of and feeling overwhelmed or losing control?

I spent years pretending I was ok and putting on a brave front. Sometimes I would just get through the day, only to feel deeply unhappy when I got home. Pushing all my emotions down as far as possible and hoping that they wouldn’t resurface any time soon.

Despite growing up with a good home life it wasn’t without its challenges. One parent with a  serious health condition, who was in and out of the hospital and the other parent with an addiction that people chose to politely ignore as he was a respected businessman. Somehow I managed to normalise this and spent a lot of time in survival mode.

As I grew up the impact on me personally didn’t go away and I often retreated to be on own where I felt safe, feeling low and anxious with emotional outbursts but I would always carry on as normal with friends and colleagues.

I always had a nagging feeling that I was meant to do something to help others and in 2016 after training as a meditation teacher I set up Still Calm. I knew that mindfulness and meditation had helped me make sense of some of the complex issues going on in my mind and I could finally find some peace.

In the last couple of years, I have also learnt a range of complementary techniques that support the work I do. I now have a unique system, which transforms the energy, emotions and effectiveness of people just like you.

The people I work with have increased their productivity, learnt how to relax for the first time in years and found time to be comfortable being themselves. They feel consistently good enough and get more done in less time. They can also get a good nights sleep!

 My focus is to help more people, just like you, to finally get the balance right for optimum energetic health, bringing you security serenity and stability to your lives. You know that when you feel out of balance, nothing seems to go right, you feel zapped of energy and everything feels like an effort. 

I have a passion for helping people make positive life changes.  You might feel as though you have to do everything perfectly. You can be happy at work and in life with balance. I am here to help you become a happier you. I can support you with focusing on one thing at a time and quietening the noise that your mind chatter makes.

So what are you waiting for? Make the positive changes today that you have been putting off until the right time or the right thing came along. In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take.
