New Year – New Opportunites
Before writing about the new year, I wish to thank everyone involved in the 2023 Well Being Show Brand events. We have attained spectacular community exhibitor and visitor attendance at every event. From the second Staffordshire event onwards, the show took off like a skyrocket and lit up the holistic sky with an explosion of accolades, reviews and testimonials. It has taken immense commitment, dedication, and investment from the one hundred and fifty-one people who have booked the events for 2023. Ian and I thank you for your support and trust in our endeavour.

Happy New Year
We approach the upcoming year with mixed emotions. People are being cautious with their finances due to the high cost of living, which has surpassed everyone’s expectations. We are curious if the current trends will impact our brand.

However, we are confident that the Well-Being Brand will be able to handle any challenges that come our way. Our community comprises of talented individuals with diverse skills, products, gifts, abilities, and information. Giving visitors hundreds of reasons to attend Well-Being Brand shows.

The choice is made to consolidate into seven shows, bi-annually at Newark, Staffordshire and Lincolnshire and a single event at Newcastle. Principally, we believe that community exhibitors will take account of Well-Being Brand shows and see a fair return for standing at these events. Too many shows, like too many cooks, will dilute the potential.

No one can argue the community enjoyed spectacular events this year. The final three shows grew like a snowball rolling down Everest! As for the year ahead, a few seconds of reviewing the attendance list for Newark (February 10 + 11) demonstrates faith and interest in the early shows. Already, there are 61 people booked for the show, and it will easily hit 70 standing community exhibitors. As we know, the greater the number of exhibitors a potential visitor sees, the higher the probability she will attend.  ‘Numbers mean Numbers!’ is today’s most crucial thought!

If we return to the original idea, people will be more cautious and think about how, when, and where they spend their money. If an event has plenty of reasons to attend, it will have priority. This is a two-way consideration; many community exhibitors look at past shows before booking. I know many people are considering how they were acknowledged during the previous year.

Therefore, we do not rest on our previous successes. This year has to be thought of as a ‘clean sheet’.  We have to review every aspect of the events. Make areas needing improvement better and heighten awareness of successes. There can be no room for failing to work with the community, listen to your issues and needs and demonstrate an ability to act.

We will return to streaming some talks this year, and there will be at least monthly podcasts. Promotion will be as extensive as 2023, if not greater. This is a community-based events business, and you are invited to use the LizianEvents Facebook group and page to your advantage. As always, Well Being News can be used for your promotions. If you can write an article or a synopsis about yourself or your work, use this live link and get self-promoting. We have already done the work and have thousands of visitors visiting LizianEvent’s social media and internet conduits every month. Use them and win customers and clients; those who do so succeed.

We look forward to the year ahead with great expectations. We see the year as challenging. Our other businesses saw tremendous success during 2023. And the strengths of those businesses strengthen the stability of The Well Being Brand. Let’s grasp the challenges and work towards a rewarding 2024.

Thank you for your loyalty, care, and support during 2023.

Liz and Ian

  1. a great piece, overflowing with common sense and realism as usual.

It is true that many on fixed rate mortgages have yet to see them rise yet as they have not expired which will incrementally bite into people’s spending power as time goes on.

However it is also true that, as with all businesses, the best shows will survive and prosper, the weakest will not. My own view is that Lizian is sufficiently pragmatic, resilient and fleet of foot to be in the former category
Happy new year and best wishes
