Demonstrations throughout the weekend will be held in the Well Being Body hall – simply take a seat, no booking required – take part, audience participation welcomed in most sessions. An opportunity to watch and take part in varying levels of Tai Chi, Qigong (Chi Gong) and Yoga – for all abilities and age groups – floor, seated exercise and standing.

Different styles of Tai Chi including weapons – This will be performed by various members of our team – Non audience participation.
1.00 Seated Yoga: Visitor participation welcome
Starting with a brief introduction as to what Yoga is taking place both seated in a chair and standing next to chair. The idea is to show that Yoga doesn’t have to be mat based and you can do stretches and breath work to increase health and wellbeing even within your work day or whilst at home. Ideal for mixture of ages and abilities – seated yoga makes yoga accessible for all. (suitable for sitting and standing but no floor work)

In every class we use imagination, story, adventure, we want our young yogis to dream big! We believe through yoga, your child will develop confidence and the ability to express themselves physically, creatively and emotionally, and be their own unique selves. Yoga has so many benefits for all ages- non-competitive atmosphere, mindful movement, breathing and relaxation and is so much fun for children and adults to take part in together. Instil in your children a life long love of yoga and the yogic life.

Cotton Palm Qigong – A simple but important set of health exercises – Can be done standing or seated.
1.00 Family Yoga: Visitor participation welcome
Expect fun, laughter, yoga adventures, playful stories, yoga, dance, uplifting and relaxing music, simple mantras, breathing, mindfulness and relaxation.
In our busy schedules, it’s hard to find time to actually interact with our children between school, work, clubs, laundry and parties. Families can be disconnected, so this session is the perfect way to reconnect as a family within a safe and joyful group.

Tai Chi and Qigong: Don Harradine, PhD, (6th Duan Master Instructor)
Don has been a practitioner and teacher of Taiji, Qigong, Silat Tua and other internal arts for nearly thirty years. He has studied in the UK as well as Malaysia and China. He is an indoor disciple in Taiji and one of the few non-Malaysians who have undertaken and passed the traditional tests in Silat Tua. He believes that these arts are to be shared to all who might benefit.
Carol Harradine: Carol has been a practitioner and teacher of Taiji and Qigong for 25 years. She has specialised during this time teaching systems that benefit those with chronic diseases, in particular, arthritis. She has taught all age groups and levels of ability and is of the opinion that the internal arts have something to offer everyone.
