Romancing the Ordinary Retreats are based in the beautiful French Riviera, a place of outstanding natural beauty. Our small but elegant business is a totally unique concept that offers extraordinary experiences that will remain with you for years to come. Hosted from our privately owned Villa Bastide Les Pins, that is surrounded by tranquil forest and wildflower meadows, we invite small groups of guests to join us on a journey of wonderful nostalgic and sensory experiences. The retreats were inspired and created by Helen and Les who met in 2017 through a mutual love of sailing, adventure and nature. The couple also discovered that they shared an appreciation of the simple beauty that may found in the ordinary things that occur in everyday life and so the idea of Romancing the Ordinary was launched later that year. This thought-provoking theme weaves delicately and intricately throughout everything they do from the exceptional fine detail they pay to dressing the dinner table, to the way in which when you walk through the door of their home, you instantly feel like you have found a little piece of heaven.
