Liz Clark’s Sunday Thoughts: 28:08:22

Hello everyone,

A week today, we’ll be at The Newark Well Being Show. I can confirm we’ll have over 70 Community Members attending this event. A significant number, and I feel sure there will be another six on the list before doors open on Saturday morning. With excellent pre-ticket bookings, we should expect a tremendous turnout for this well-established show.

The same story is being told for the Newcastle Well Being Show. A full house, 65 Community Members and most local to the racecourse. This means we have an unprecedented local promotion. Combining this with Paul and Deb’s incredible dedication to promoting the show, we have high hopes for the future of this event.

Lincolnshire Well Being Show already has 80 exhibitors booked. Considering the number of booking forms outstanding for this event, the show should see 110 as the final figure. We know this show is maturing as a premier event, and pre-bookings are superb.

Writing about pre-bookings, as an indicator of the effects of weather, some rebooked tickets were not claimed for the Staffordshire Show. And Gary Creswell’s show review confirms the effect sweltering weather had on the footfall. Ian has agreed with the venue that we can install portable air-conditioning at next year’s Staffordshire Well Being Show in August. We will use the ‘cool-air’ policy as part of the promotions! There will be NO concerns for Visitor’s comfort during next summer. Let’s face it, the heat is here to stay, and this, in the long term, bodes well for air-conditioned venues.

Thank you for the support coming from LizianEvents Facebook lives. The last three shows have enjoyed an audience of over 2400 visitors (Vimeo and social media reach). We continue to keep up with connecting people to our mission. I know we’ll gain from video promotion in the long term. Incidentally, live streaming will be part of the talks scheduled during the Lincolnshire Well Being show, a welcome return to an essential promotional asset.

Finally:

Thank you for your support following last week’s Sunday Thoughts. We did not take the decisions without immense consideration. Our accountant steered us through the tax forecasts and the advantages and disadvantages of becoming VAT registered.

Many of you have realised that the focus is on events of excellent quality and standards. It is essential to make the shows affordable to both exhibitors and visitors. We will continue to make The Well Being Shows, and LizianEvents News, the best Well Being Platforms for those who see our ethos and purpose. Many thanks for your incredible support.
